Presbyopia usually begins around age 40. It occurs due to the hardening of the lens of the eye and difficulty focusing on close objects. Symptoms include blurred vision at close range, eye fatigue, the need for more light, and the need to move text farther away.
There are several solutions to manage this condition: reading glasses, progressive lenses, multifocal lenses, and in some cases, special surgeries.
Important: Wearing glasses does not make presbyopia worse; it is a natural process associated with aging.
